Autumn plans in Galicia

We propose three plans for you to enjoy your autumn holidays with us. You will not be able to reject them!

1.     Galicia by train: We talk about the Renfe Tourist Trains that promote quality, calm and sustainable tourism while touring the unique Galician geography. 2.     Halloween or Samaín: In the month of October this international festival is celebrated in our land under the name of Samaín. Galicia is a land of "meigas" so you can not miss a celebration like this. Galicia inherited this tradition and nowadays there are localities that continue celebrating their particular day of All Saints as Cedeira (A Coruña), which has been parading ghosts and pumpkins in their nocturnal parade for over twenty years. In Quiroga (Lugo) they carve the pumpkins, with the peculiarity that they are dried and kept for use as masks in the Carnival and in Ribadavia (Ourense) every October 31 it is filled with ghosts, witches and vampires.

3.     Rural getaways: One of the best-known lodgings in Galicia are the houses of rural tourism, those traditional homes of our land. In addition, most celebrate during the months of September to December the Gastronomic Autumn with a wide range of accommodation and gastronomy. The rural houses open their dining rooms for you.
