The Galician coastline is one of the favourite places for those who choose Galicia as their holiday destination. And no wonder: its gastronomy, its good weather, its incredible beaches and all its tradition make the coast a place worth visiting a thousand times. That's why today we're going to tell you a little more about our trip to the Rías Baixas.

Spring is, for us, one of our favourite seasons because it is synonymous with a new travel season to the Rías Baixas. From this month until October, we will have departures every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. In addition, in August there will be departures every day, so you have no excuse to miss it!

Pontevedra

We will depart from the Galician capital at 09.10 a.m. for the Rías Baixas. The first stop will be in the Boa Vila. The city of Pontevedra, founded in Roman times, was the main engine of the region for centuries and nowadays has one of the best preserved historic centres in Galicia, which will allow us to discover all its architectural treasures. We will get to know the most interesting corners of the monumental area and get lost in its streets to discover the ruins of Santo Domingo, the church of La Peregrina and some of the most famous squares such as La Leña, Verdura or Herrería.

Combarro

Very close to Pontevedra is Combarro, one of the most picturesque and original villages of the Rías Baixas. It is a seaside village with narrow granite streets that run parallel and perpendicular to the Pontevedra estuary. It is also characterised by a multitude of hórreos and cruceiros.

At this point we will enjoy the pleasant experience of a boat trip along the estuary with a visit to the mussel rafts on the island of Tambo and a tasting on board of this product and wine.

La Lanzada Beach

With an extension of 2.5 kilometres of open sea, this is one of the most famous beaches in Galicia and one of the best beaches in the European Atlantic. La Lanzada Beach is located between the municipalities of Sanxenxo and O Grove and, its fine sand and the quality of its waters make it worthy, year after year, of the Blue Flag.

Cambados

The last place we will visit on our https://cambados.es/en/ is the town of Cambados. This is known for being the Capital of Albariño Wine and for its incredible Historic-Artistic Site. Therefore, we will visit the Fefiñáns Square, a beautiful space full of charm and where the 17th century manor house that gives it its name, the arch-bridge, the church of San Benito and a group of houses of popular architecture are located.
