Four plans to welcome December in Galicia

Publicado Por: Simply Galicia En: Our Recommendations Comentario: 0 Golpear: 733

We say goodbye to November and welcome December with open arms. Although we have already spent a few weeks watching how the trees, lights and Christmas decorations are beginning to creep into the streets, shop windows and homes, it is now when we officially open a new Christmas season. At Simply Galicia we want to enter the last month of the year in good spirits and, therefore, today we will review some of the activities, events and parties that we can find in the last thirty-one days of the year.

Concerts in venues

Galicia is synonymous with music. And even more so if we talk about Christmas. Although it is typical to talk about classical music concerts during these weeks, in the Galician community there is much more on offer.

Among the varied line-up of concerts this month we can find the rap music group from Ordes, Dios Ke Te Crew. The show will take place on Saturday, December 2 at the well-known Sala Malatesta.

On the same day, this time at Sala Queen in Pontevedra, Recycled J will surprise the audience with his mix of reggaeton, R&B, trap and electronica.

Reversioning classics

The company Pepa Plana, National Circus Award 2022, arrives in Santiago de Compostela with Veus que no veus. This show is the female version of the so-called "classic entrances", those numbers that start a show or link scenes.

The Teatro Afundación Vigo will host the musical tribute to one of the longest-running and most watched musicals in history. The Onbeat Company makes its own adaptation of the Phantom of the Opera to bring the classic to all audiences.

A touch of humor

David Perdomo and Xosé Antonio Touriñán are two of the most acclaimed Galician comedians of the moment. During the months of confinement, in 2020, they began to chat live via Instagram and that's how Corentena was born. The show, which is touring Galicia and can be enjoyed on December 16 in Santiago de Compostela, rescues some of the recurring characters of those pandemic sessions, and pulls improvisation and complicity with the public.

The magic of Christmas

It is well known that Christmas is the most magical time of the year. And if not, just tell it to the protagonists of the VII Galicia Magic Fest. This event tours the most important theaters in Galicia and presents magicians with international awards and worldwide prestige from different countries. Thus, attendees will be able to enjoy the magic and illusionism of magicians such as Eric Shein, Michael Szaniel, Mag Marín or Jessica Guloomal, among others.

This is a small glimpse of everything that is to come in the month of December in Galicia. Magic, music, races, gastronomy, meetings with our loved ones, walks through illuminated cities and much more!
